The Young Church are keen to purchase an interactive smartboard which they feel would be a real asset in engaging the youngsters in studying scripture through video clips, music and games. It would be expensive and some concerns were raised-
How would it be funded?
Would it be beneficial to other Church Centre user groups?
Training would have to be provided.
The Kirk Session agreed in principle to further investigation into this purchase.
Usual Groups have started back and the centre is getting busier.
The Hall lets are up on the same time last year by £3,329 and the Catering is up £3,622. Much of this is due to a group called the Curnie Club who book rooms twice a week and they all stay for lunch which is paid for from the funding. Hopefully their funding will last for a long time.
The coffee bar is getting busier as well and Kirsty has been trying out different meals. Offering them for a week at a time. So far this has been very successful.
The Graduations are week commencing the 24th September. They are Tuesday 3.30pm Wednesday 3.30 and 6.30pm and Thursday 3.30 and 6.30pm. We need people to help seat the audience as well as the students so if you are available an hour before any of these times please let me know as soon as possible.
